Weiss Wednesdays: netted voice

What up? I’m starting to get bored and annoyed at the same time. Been losing a lot in my games because of my crappy mouse set. Need to buy a new pair immediately. Ugh.

Anyway, enough with the picker-upper to get my writing mood started. Last June 7, I went to Glorietta 2 along with ruo and Gazer for the Bushiroad Springfest PH 2015, or however you called it. My first post on it was more like an after-action report. This post would be delving on the deck I used to get myself Top 55 out of 130-something, at 4-3, something I’m not too proud of, but at least I’m not disappointed with it. Shall we start?

Let me borrow this link for a few from the guys at 9th CX to show you again what my deck’s basis came to be.

I borrowed a few tactics from it thanks to the Q&A portion of the link I showed, and with that mindset, I started to craft my own version, a kinda more budget-y one. As a student, so much for my monies as I have to make do with what I’ve pulled. Singles are still too damn expensive for me. Thankfully, ruo also decided to build PDf as we went on to trade cards, saving me time to find those that I need and of course money.

Just to re-post the deck-list, here it is.

2x “MY SONG FOR YOU” HATSUNE MIKU

2x MEGURINE LUKA “RESORT BIKINI”

1x MEIKO “LONG PAREO”

2x KAITO & MEIKO “ORIGINAL”

2x “NEVER ENDING SONG” HATSUNE MIKU

2x KAGAMINE LEN “BAD BOY”

1x KAGAMINE RIN “HEAT HAZE”

2x KAGAMINE RIN  “DREAMING PANDA”

1x KAGAMINE LEN “WHITE EDGE”

4x KAGAMINE RIN “SOLEIL”

4x KAGAMINE LEN “CIEL”

2x COLORFUL X MELODY

4x SOUNDLESS VOICE

2x “ETERNAL SOUNDS” HATSUNE MIKU

2x HATSUNE MIKU “V3”

2x HATSUNE MIKU “WHITE DRESS”

2x HATSUNE MIKU “SCHOOL”

1x MEIKO “TAISHO NOSTALGIA”

1x KAITO “V3”

2x KAITO “ORIGINAL” (F 2ND)

3x KAITO “HOLIDAY”

2x KAITO “WHITE BLAZER”

4x CANTARELLA ~GRACE EDITION~

Let’s describe them one by one.

032

2x “MY SONG FOR YOU” HATSUNE MIKU

Your standard 2/1 8000 that gets a +1000 buff when your other characters attack.

053

2x MEGURINE LUKA “RESORT BIKINI”

Your Level 0 suicider. (When this gets Reversed, if the card facing this is Level 0 or lower, Reverse that card.) Useful on-attack +500 boost to 2 <<Music>> characters.

055

1x MEIKO “LONG PAREO”

Your go-to salvage card which costs (1) and a card in your hand. I only ran one because of my prediction of the oppositions’ anti-salvage. Kantai Collection is still a fresh meta-changer for WSPH.

077

2x KAITO & MEIKO “ORIGINAL”

1 of the 3 cards I have for Level 3. With f 2nd’s KAITO “Original” (f 2nd), I can actually Change into this, making this more valuable to use. A defensive L3 as it gets +2000 only during your opponent’s turn, and an on-attack top-check. The card goes to hand if it’s a <<Music>> character. Perfect +1. XD

079

2x “NEVER ENDING SONG” HATSUNE MIKU

This should get replaced with Miku “Magician”, just because that card’s Brainstorm is much more valuable. Well, budget. Anyway, I think this card’s Brainstorm is still pretty good, because I believe in the power of the top-deck. (1) for a draw one, discard one is okay, too.

084a

2x KAGAMINE LEN “BAD BOY”

A defensive +500 global buff, and a free Encore at the cost of him, but he needs to be in the Back Stage.

004

1x KAGAMINE RIN “HEAT HAZE”

This one’s the offensive global +1000 buff which top-checks on-play. This gives you the checked card if it’s a <<Music>> character at the cost of a card in your hand. No drawbacks for missing the top-check.

007

2x KAGAMINE RIN  “DREAMING PANDA”

Gains +500 for every other <<Music>> character in your Stage.

012

1x KAGAMINE LEN “WHITE EDGE”

Your standard BACKUP 2500 for (1), but what’s special about him is his on-BACKUP effect. Pay (2) extra to shuffle all your Waiting Room cards into your deck. Essentially a free Refresh!

016

4x KAGAMINE RIN “SOLEIL”

COMBO PIECE #1: If this gets Reversed, pay (1) to send this card to Memory. This combos with the climax “soundless voice”, wherein on the placement of the CX, you can send this card to Memory for free to call Len “Ciel” from deck to where this card was.

017

4x KAGAMINE LEN “CIEL”

COMBO PIECE #2: This has +2000 when a Rin “Soleil” is in your Memory. When it attacks with the “soundless voice” CX placed, this gets +3000 until the end of your opponent’s next turn. This is what you would refer to as a wall. A 10,500 powerhouse that forces your opponents to side-attack if they don’t have an immediate answer for it.

020a

2x COLORFUL X MELODY

A Search 2 Drop 1 Event. It requires you to Rest a character beforehand. After the search, this card goes to Memory. Additional irrelevant effect when this card is in your Memory: Your Miku “Colorful Gumdrop” and Rin “Cheerful Candy” get green.

023

4x SOUNDLESS VOICE

Your standard 1k1 CX that has a Soul and Shot trigger.

027

2x “ETERNAL SOUNDS” HATSUNE MIKU

The second of the 3 L3s I used. I only used this card because of the Shoot-to-Clock effect when it Reverses a character on the turn this was played for the cost of a hand card.

029

2x HATSUNE MIKU “V3”

A Level Assist. On-play, though, this card is more valuable. Pay (1) and discard a CX from your hand to grab a CX in your Waiting Room. This allows you to nab the “soundless voice” CX card if you’re stuck with the other irrelevant CX.

030

2x HATSUNE MIKU “WHITE DRESS”

A global +500 buff. Whenever you use any ACT, you can give a <<Music>> character +500 more, once per turn only.

031

2x HATSUNE MIKU “SCHOOL”

Your go-to searcher. Think the MEIKO “Long Pareo”, but takes a card in your deck.

069

1x MEIKO “TAISHO NOSTALGIA”

The other BACKUP 2500 for (1), except here, you have to top-check on-BACKUP. You can keep the checked card for the cost of a card in your hand. For free. It’s alright to run this because it’s just a BACKUP. Color restrictions do not apply.

089

1x KAITO “V3”

The 3rd L3. I wonder why I only ran 1 of this. Then again, budget. He heals 1. Pay (1) and discard a card to buff a character +3500 until the end of your opponent’s turn.

092

2x KAITO “ORIGINAL” (F 2ND)

Your basic 2/1 Changer (Basically, summon a better version of this card, regardless of Level.) That’s at the cost of (2) and a card in your hand. Timing is during your Climax Phase, like any other Changer in the PDf series. This Changes into either KAITO&MEIKO “Original” or KAITO “V3”. The whole or thing got my attention when I wanted to run this card, and so I did, with both options possible.

094

3x KAITO “HOLIDAY”

An interesting mechanic that meddles with your opponent’s Stage, in a sense that this card gains +1 Level and +1500 power if your opponent has 3 or less characters on his/her Stage. At Level 0, that’s a condition easily unfulfilled.

102

2x KAITO “WHITE BLAZER”

A Level 0 BACKUP. Because yeah! hahahaha Sure, it takes up a slot at L0, but hey, it prevents the one thing that kills walls, and that’s a Level Suicider. Because on-BACKUP, you can give a <<Music>> character +1 Level. This can usually clutch a late-game side-attack antic, but that’s something advanced.

113

4x CANTARELLA ~GRACE EDITION~

The other climax. Also 1k1, but it has a Soul and Arch trigger, which allows you to grab a CX from the Waiting Room when this card triggers.

Holy hax, that’s a mouthful. hahahahaha Anyway, my thoughts on how this deck should be played out.

Mulligan Phase: Soft-Hard

As much as possible, you need to have your L0 game (as with all WS decks) and the Combo Pieces. Aggressively mulligan if you get nothing good, but sometimes, you can keep a card, so that card would be the one you’d use during your first Clock Phase.

Level 0: Set-up Level 1

102094030031084a079055053

Your Level 0 cards are usually support cards. Only 2 cards presented here are cards you’d actually want to place in the Center Stage. Bad hands have you dropping your L0 supports for Turn 1 attacks. Worse hands have you skip Turn 1 altogether (happens with any deck, anyway). Best save up 1 or 2 Stock until you get to Level 1.

Level 1: Combo Pieces, Just Do It!!!

017016004023

To be honest, I just tech’d Rin “Heat Haze” because top-check sounds pretty valuable. By this stage, if you don’t have either of the combo pieces and/or unable to do the CX combo, consider yourself stuck at Level 0. You need to pull off this combo as much as possible. That’s the overall tactic of this deck, anyway. Maintain the wall. Pray for Arch triggers. Just spam “soundless voice” until:

a. You win the game by the next 5 turns.

b. You win the game because your opponent got tired of the CX combo and downright concedes.

c. You win the game because your opponent keeps on missing damage through side-attacks.

d. You can’t anymore because your wall got overrun.

Level 2: Continue the Flow or Plan B.

092069029020a012007032089077

In the case of Letter d or not being able to combo altogether, suffer through L1 and bounce back in the game using these other cards. Hope you saved your unused support L0 cards, because you might need them now to re-establish. Consider not-changing as you get to L2 and focus with using the available L2s. Miku “V3” helps with adding to this new wall you could form, or she can help you reform your wall with her salvage CX ability.

Level 3: YOLO!!!! Or Focus Fire, Whichever Works Better

089077027

If your field works well, you don’t have to worry about anything. Use “Eternal Sounds” Miku as a finisher mechanic to assure 1 damage via her Shoot-to-Clock ability on-play. In the case all else fails, just do what your hand and stock allows you to and go for the win.

Deck Difficulties:

You usually run of out hand cards. Try your best to not over-extenuate your Stage. Remember how the Combo Pieces work, and take note of the Ciels and Soleils that appear over the course of L0 and L1. This small detail can help you save hand cards for a Wave 2 instead of missing the timing of the combo altogether.

Running out of steam.

Remember: Once the combo fails, you’ll end up failing. Looking back, Changing sounds like a bad idea. Rather focus on building a new wall out of L2 cards or re-establish the L1 game.

I haven’t faced a lot of suiciders during the Swiss tournament, but watch out for them. If you’re not sure whether your opponent’s deck has any form of suiciders, theorize and play around it. A poorly timed Level 0 BACKUP could cost you a part of your wall.

Well, I think that’s it for the deck tech! Until next time, may the fun, the luck, and the top-decks, be with you!!! Peace!

You can count on me from now on! XD

  1. Deck analysis is always fun~ I like that the deck has a backup plan in case Soundless Voice doesn’t happen. Getting the Lens and Rins is the easy part. but the Climax is the challenge. 4 Gates and V3 makes it easier for sure. Too bad Divas don’t have any “look at top X cards of deck and take 1, discard the rest”. Kancolle loves that and does it for days but Divas didn’t get any of that love. MAYBE later when Project Diva X comes out for PS4/Vita (PS3?) there’ll be a Weiss Schwarz set for that game as well sometime afterwards? Haha That’s my biggest hope for WS right now. (And Girlfriend Beta getting an english release but that’s less likely by comparison)

I mentioned it before but this little card
    http://ws-tcg.com/en/cardlist/list/?cardno=PD/S29-E088
I think is a great addition for Soundless Voice builds. An assist that gives +1 level and 500 power to the front of it and can just rest 2 characters to topdeck check. Screws over side attacks, stops suiciders and..funny enough helps the middle character get a bigger boost from V3 Miku since she’s a level assist. Haha.

I’ll have to try your build out too later. If you feel like it, I wouldn’t mind sharing my version of it as well?

    • I would more than love to see the deck build! I’m thinking of actually getting that, but budget problems. Exactly why the Greens of the deck are a big question mark at the moment.
As for PDX in WS, I’m super hoping for it! It would update the deck so much! XD
      (PS3 prolly not? TTwTT)

  2. Alright then. I’ll post my version of the deck here. As I’m more casual though, despite having a playset of everything, I make multiple decks. 4 Project Diva decks right now. So consistency will be an issue as a result. This was the 3rd deck I built so…some key staple cards are missing like Magicians and Gates. (Actually made a Canterella/Sadistic Music Factory deck as my 2nd. Its bloody awesome~)
    Onto the Deck list!

Name – Two Dead Voices (Yellow/Red/Blue)
    Level 0 – 18
    Melancholy Rin x3
    Trickster Len x3
    Breathe With You Miku x4
    Long Pareo MEIKO x2
    Solitude Miku x3
    “Never Ending Song” Miku x3

    Level 1 – 11
    Ciel Len x4
    Soleil Rin x4
“To Wherever You May Be” Miku x3

    Level 2 – 6
    Dreaming Panda Rin x3
    Taisho Nostalgia MEIKO x2
Demons and the Dead Miku x1

    Level 3 – 5
    Original Rin x3
    Original F2nd Len x2

    Events – 2
    Melancholic x2

    Climaxes – 8
    Soundless Voice x4
    Two Breaths Walking x2
Close and Open, Demons and the Dead x2

Level 0 game is meant to get stock and beat down opponent’s 0s for the most part. I was running School Miku but decided to run the Event instead though they are essentially the same thing. Breathe With You’s effect is awesome come endgame to gurantee a point of damage if need be as well.
Level 1 game wants the tried and true Soundless Voice combo going. If you have The Wherever Miku they’ll be level 2, which gets around level 1 suiciders and weakens side attacks a lot. Two of them makes the Center Len a level 3 even. In conjunction with the Brainstormer, you can choose to either brainstorm, or top deck check then choose to pay the Draw 1/Ditch one effect. Use them based on how many climaxes you think are left. Pretty nifty deck utility with them both.
Level 2 is a backup plan in case Soundless Voice doesn’t go off or does get beaten off stage. The Dreaming Pandas are cheap beaters and the Demons Miku gets to 12k and kills all Encore. (I used to fight a lot of Angel Beats so…yesplz~) I thought about running the Rin Changer but decided against it since getting that Rin at level 2 would give the opponent a ton of stock with everything she beats or opponent rans into her. So nah.
Level 3 runs 5 healers and if Soundless Voice is still around to be prominent, the Level 3 Len wants you to trigger climaxes for added power and soul. With Shot Triggers, getting that extra Soul to someone would help ping more damage. The Rin is mostly meant to kick opponent level 3s or anything that’s a big threat to the team. A good 12k with stock being low at that point is nice
The odd climax out is of course the TBW and its a +2 Soul, I like to use them at level 0 and level 2. At 0 I want the opponent to get to level 1 first so afterwards I can Soundless Voice off and defeat whatever level 1s they put out there already. At level 2 when the oppnent has like 4-6 damage on clock, I’ve been able to do considerable damage to them if not outright win a few times if lucky but its a cheeky way to get the opponent to level 3 with 4-5 damage on their clock in that attack. The 2 of them coulda been more Gate Triggers though but I like this spread the most so far.

Well if you’d like to netdeck the deck then feel free to and/or change things around to your leisure. Its been doing me justice for a while so I’m content with it. Definitely could be better but since I’m a pleb casual with 4 decks and my better staples in the first 2 decks before this….eh. The Magician Miku would be ideal and more Gates I suppose but ah well. I like this right now. ^_^
